At Village Green, our associates are our best assets. We take training seriously and have the best and the brightest associates in the multi-housing industry. Extensive and specialized training is offered through the University of Village Green (UVG), our in-house continuing education program with classes geared toward our associates’ position and career goals. Village Green’s desire is that associates will continue to develop their professional skills and apply that knowledge to the fullest extent in the workplace.
New Hire Orientation
(NHO)
NHO is Village Green’s intense five-day customized orientation
program for all newly hired associates. NHO provides the foundation
for an associate to be successful at their job and career path.
Associates learn the company’s history, standards and the
leaderships’ expectations and gain the knowledge to begin their
career at Village Green.
Executive Management
Program
Village Green’s highest management training program prepares
selected Village Green associates for future leadership career
opportunities. These associates receive extensive leadership
training in financial analysis, strategic marketing, human
resources and a wide range of other essential management
curriculum. All executive management associates meet on a regular
basis in multiple forums with key Village Green executives who act
as mentors and group instructors. As associates progress through
the Executive Management Program, they are provided additional
opportunities on key leadership assignments, which provides
practical application to academic learning.
Manager-In-Training
Program
Village Green’s Manager-In-Training Program provides selected
college graduates who seek management careers in real estate the
opportunity to join Village Green. Managers-In-Training generally
advance to a Property Manager after six months in a concentrated
property management program. These associates receive hands-on
practical leadership training in operations, marketing, financial
analysis, human resources and other core curriculum.
Managers-In-Training are mentored closely by key Village Green
executives and also attend a variety of business forums. Graduates
are eligible to advance to the Village Green Leadership
Programs.
Leasing Manager-In-Training
Program
The Leasing Manager-In-Training Program provides career
opportunities to selected associates seeking a management career in
real estate. Leasing Managers-In-Training are Leasing Associates
who are fast tracked to Certified Leasing Specialists and
eventually into the role of Leasing Managers. The Leasing
Manager-In-Training is a six-month program under which associates
receive hands-on practical leadership training in marketing,
operations, financial analysis, human resources and other core
curriculum. Leasing Managers-In-Training are mentored closely by
key Village Green executives and attend a variety of business
forums. Graduates are eligible to advance to an Assistant Regional
Leasing & Marketing Director.
Service Manager-In-Training
Program
This is one of Village Green’s promotion-from-within programs for
leading Service Technicians. Service Managers-In-Training display a
strong commitment to customer service, quality and leadership
performance. These associates enhance the Facilities and Service
Training Department by providing technical service to residents.
Service Managers-In-Training are mentors and trainers to other
Village Green Service associates at their communities. Assistance
with training programs such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and
preventative maintenance are a part of this program. Service
Managers-In-Training have the opportunity to advance by obtaining
the necessary requirements to become eligible for a Service Manager
position and then an Urban/Suburban Facilities Director.
