Every year, communities in each of Village Green's five regions celebrate the opening of pool season. Dubbed Splash Day, the events, like BBQs, silent auctions and wine tastings, raise money for a local chapter of Ronald McDonald House.
Started in 1991, Splash Day began with a simple dare. A brave Village Green property manager took a dare to jump into the community's ice cold pool only if pledges were made and the funds donated to a worthy cause. Thus began the Splash Day tradition, which has raised nearly $100,000 for local Ronald McDonald House Charities.
